Over the next few weeks, we’re focusing on materials which make up our kits, including hygiene and items that help reduce the risk of open wounds- like chapped lips, scrapes, sterilizing cuts, injection wounds- as well as reducing health risks like spreading of bloodborne diseases like Hepatitis C

The trump administration’s recent action to dismantle mental health and substance use services on the federal level will negatively impact States and Cities’ ability to provide services that have helped reduce harm to those struggling to mental illness and substance use.

In Pima county, we’ve seen overdose reported deaths fall from 309 (2023) to 218, in 2025.

There’s also been high numbers of narcan/naloxone used to reverse overdoses. Pima county has been integral in supplying natcan and saving hundreds of lives.

Our goal is to raise $750 to cover kit supply expenses and make sure that we can continue providing this necessary and life saving care for our neighbors for the next 3-4 months.
