Did you know, that today in America, there are children who are denied the sacraments simply because they are disabled? Accepting the Gift is working to change hearts and minds!

Many parishes don't know how to prepare children with disabilites to receive their sacraments, and some parents don't know how to ask or advocate for their children. Your donation will help us educate parents, train parishes and dioceses, and bring solid religious education to children of all abilities.

What we accomplished in 2024!

This year we released our free Sensory Mass guide, three free Canva templates, and our Confirmation curriculum. Our founder also spoke with parents and religious educators across the country as well as made appearances on EWTN, Relevant Radio and the Catholic Sprouts podcast to help spread the word about Accepting the Gift's mission.

Accepting the Gift gave Catholic special needs parents from across the country renewed HOPE through our online group and regular online meetings, free downloadable resources, as well as at several in-person speaking events.

With your help, there's great things brewing for 2025!

With increased financial support, we will translate all our materials into Spanish to become some of the first materials for special needs families in Spanish! We will work to set up, and provide long term support, to more satelite locations in dioceses not currently offering disability ministies or support groups for special needs parents. We will also develop more free resources for parents and parishes. Lastly, with enough support, we hope to host a family retreat designed for special needs families to relax and find spiritual renewal in an accessible and welcoming environment.
