Join us on November 14th at the Diamond Springs venue in Milan, KS as we celebrate our achievements and raise money to continue our mission to save lives. Tickets are $40 each ($50 day of event) which includes yummy food, auction, 50/50 raffle, special guest JJ Hayes from the KDFI morning show, and more! Dress up or dress down, we just want to see you there!

The Wellington Humane Society Serving Sumner County, KS is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to rescuing, caring for, and adopting out homeless dogs and cats into loving, responsible forever homes. We operate solely on donations and rely on many volunteer staff to serve the needs of homeless animals in our community.

We believe in a community-based lifesaving approach that supports animals both inside and outside our shelter. While we provide compassionate care, medical treatment, behavioral support, and enrichment for every animal in our care, we also work to prevent homelessness through programs like low-cost spay/neuter, community education, and resources that help keep pets with the families who love them.

When animals do need the safety of our shelter, we are committed to giving them every opportunity for a positive outcome through adoption, foster care, reunification, or rescue partnerships. Humane euthanasia is only considered when an animal is suffering from untreatable medical or severe behavioral conditions, making it a compassionate end-of-life decision rather than one based on space or convenience.
