Throughout our time preparing for this year’s Summer Retreat, ARISE staff has been navigating a season of change that has required us to desperately hold onto the Lord. There have been new responsibilities for us to carry, leadership transitions to navigate, and moments where God is challenging to trust Him in new ways. But, in the midst of this season of stretching, our staff remains ever sure and convicted of God’s enduring love for the Korean churches of the New England area, and that He is still working through ARISE to reach a generation that is hungry for deeper things.

Though our staff feels empowered by God’s will to steward this year’s summer retreat well, we cannot ignore today’s economic reality. We recognize that rising costs have adversely impacted many individuals and families in our ARISE community and the New England area as a whole. Moreover, these same rising costs have made it more challenging to keep ARISE accessible for the students and young adults we serve.

We humbly ask for your support. Your generosity helps us keep retreat prices as reasonable as possible, provide scholarships for students in financial need, and ensure that financial barriers never prevent someone from experiencing the spiritual encouragement, community, and care that ARISE seeks to provide.

The faith we hold today is, in many ways, the result of those before us who believed in God’s mission and invested in the next generation. ARISE is a second-generation ministry for the Korean American second generation in the Korean churches of New England. We seek to love and serve the next generation of the Korean Church and create space to worship and grow together.
