A Rose in Bloom Foundation was born from a deeply personal story of illness, love, support, and the belief that no individual or family should have to navigate chronic illness alone.

At age 18, our Founder, Dr. Allison C. Rose, was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, an autoimmune disease that causes the body to attack its own organs and tissues. Through thousands of appointments, difficult seasons, and unexpected challenges, she was surrounded by family and friends who showed up without hesitation.

That support made a difference.

It also illuminated an important truth: not every illness is visible, and the impact of chronic illness extends far beyond the person who receives the diagnosis.

Caregivers become advocates. Children adjust. Families reorganize their lives. And sometimes, what people need most is to know that someone sees them, understands them, and is willing to walk alongside them.

That is why A Rose in Bloom Foundation exists.

Our Mission

A Rose in Bloom Foundation provides resources and meaningful experiences for individuals living with chronic illnesses, as well as their caregivers, children, and families.

We also work to educate others, increase awareness, and encourage greater understanding and compassion for those whose health challenges may not always be visible.

We believe that even during life's most difficult seasons, people deserve opportunities to experience joy, connection, dignity, hope, and moments that allow them to simply bloom.

Planting the First Seeds

On what would have been our Founder's parents' 55th wedding anniversary, A Rose in Bloom Foundation was introduced as a continuation of their legacy of giving.

Now, we are inviting you to help us plant the Foundation's first seeds.

Your generosity will help us develop programs and initiatives designed to support the whole family affected by chronic illness.

Funds raised through this campaign will help us:

Provide educational, wellness, and support resources for individuals and families navigating chronic illness.
Create meaningful experiences and outings that provide moments of joy, connection, and normalcy.
Support caregivers whose own emotional and wellness needs are often overlooked.
Create opportunities specifically designed for children and families impacted by a loved one's chronic illness.
