I am requesting your support for a strategic investment that will significantly strengthen Partnership for a Drug Free Community’s impact, visibility, and leadership across Alabama. Specifically, I am seeking Board sponsorship and/or donations to support four staff members attending the ASADS 2026 Conference, celebrating ASADS’ 50-year anniversary—a landmark event for substance use prevention, treatment, and recovery professionals statewide.

To maximize both professional development and organizational exposure, I am requesting approval for Partnership for a Drug Free Community to participate as a Platinum Level Sponsor at a cost of $3,500. This sponsorship provides exceptional value and statewide visibility, including:

Three (3) full conference registrations, reducing overall attendance costs
Recognition as a Platinum Sponsor on the ASADS website
Organization logo, description, and website link featured in the ASADS Conference App
A full-page advertisement with our logo and name in the pre- and post-show PowerPoint slideshow displayed throughout the conference
Opportunity to speak for up to five (5) minutes to conference attendees about our work and community impact
Two pieces of organizational literature placed in conference bags
Priority booth selection, ensuring maximum engagement and visibility
Logo placement on the official conference t-shirt and bag (for sponsorships received by 2/15)
Platinum Sponsor ribbon worn by staff, increasing credibility and recognition during the event

In addition to the Platinum sponsorship, I am requesting support for the following essential staff and outreach-related expenses to ensure full participation and effective community engagement:

Room and board accommodations: $1,072
Meal expenses: $1,250
Outreach and branded merchandise for conference engagement: $2,000

Total investment requested: $7,822

The requested merchandise will support outreach efforts at the conference booth and networking events, allowing staff to effectively engage attendees, reinforce brand recognition, and extend the reach of our prevention and recovery messaging well beyond the conference itself.

This investment will directly translate into stronger prevention programming, enhanced recovery support, and expanded partnerships for the communities we serve throughout Northern Alabama. Staff will return with updated evidence-based practices, strengthened collaborative relationships, and tools that can be immediately implemented into our youth, prevention, and recovery initiatives. Additionally, this sponsorship positions Partnership for a Drug Free Community as a visible leader during a historic statewide conference, reinforcing our credibility, sustainability, and long-term growth.
