At ATG Farm, we meet lots of families who can't afford enough food to begin with -- much less, the kind of local, organic produce we all need to eat for health, spirit, and vitality.

Through the support of Friends of the Farm like you, we can offer no cost CSA deliveries to feed 10+ households in Boone all season long -- through October.

Each delivery includes a generous helping of the best biodynamic and organic produce we harvest the day before: incredble kales, ramps, radishes, broccoli, carrots, mint, salad greens, sprouts, tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, garlics, basil, ginger, beets, onions, potatoes, and greens of all kinds, plus so much more.

Every week, we deliver boxes brimming with freshly picked food to our 100+ CSA members and to 10 families at the Boone Mennonite Brethren Church and at the Ivy Terrace community.

Five shares go to our friends at Boone Mennonite who have been the center of African-American community in Boone for over 100 years. They share recipes each week when they get their deliveries! Ivy Terrace apartments offer low income housing to elderly and disabled people in Boone. The community there shares 5 CSA shares, and love fresh farm vegetables and cooking together.

It's a joy to witness the smiles and the shared love we have around good, clean food.

Our farm food is not expensive: $26/week covers a full CSA share.

As a small family farm in the heart of Appalachia, we understand the challenges faced by those living in poverty and experiencing food scarcity. It means a lot to us to feed everyone and reach people who KNOW the value of food grown in healthy soil, harvested in season, and untouched by chemicals. Everyone in our community needs and deserves this kind of food to survive the incredible challenges of the world today!

Against the Grain https://www.atgfarm.com/ is a small, family farm in Zionville, North Carolina, part of the mountainous High Country of the Blue Ridge Mountains. ATG grows a wide range of certified organic vegetables and pasture-raised meats, with a mission to nourish both body and spirit.

In addition to selling at the Watauga County Farmer’s Market and the High Country Food Hub, ATG's Community Supported Agriculture program (CSA) extends to over 100 local families who offer $850 to the farm at the beginning of the season when we really need it, and, in exchange, get a weekly box of all of the best of our harvest through October.

In paying the farm directly for the cost of boxes we deliver, you are directly funding people who need and want this food. We're not a non-profit (though we love our local non-profit agencies!); we want to share this food and make it part of our weekly commitment.
