Project Parkside: A Vision That Became a Community Haven of Possibility

When AVP moved into our Parkside Avenue location in 2023, we knew we wanted more than an office. We envisioned a community space: a space shaped by partnerships, filled with healing, and grounded in dignity.

But for a long time, we didn’t have the resources to bring the space fully to life. This year, that changed.

Thanks to an extraordinary in-kind donation of high-quality furnishings from Deloitte’s Philadelphia Office via Green Standards and unrestricted support from donors like you, our communal workspace is becoming the warm, restorative environment our community deserves.

Your generosity helps us open our doors wider than ever before. This year, our Parkside office held space for:

Beyond the Pain, our monthly community-centered healing initiative for families impacted by gun violence;
Workshops supporting frontline workers facing compassion fatigue and vicarious trauma;
A six-week Youth Workforce Development Program centering identity, emotional regulation, and creative expression;
Shared office space for the Kingsessing Heals Community Resilience Center, supporting survivors and victims of the 2023 Mass Shooting;
Municipal support services in partnership with Councilmember Jim Harrity; and
Our third summer cohort of the Conflict Resolution and Mediation Program with the community-led youth organization, Ultimate Vision Dreamers Foundation.
