A Child Should Never Have to Face Foster Care Alone

For 36 years, the Court Appointed Special Advocates of Southwest Missouri has been serving children and youth in foster care, providing them with trained volunteer advocates who serve as a trusted, consistent adult in their lives. In that time, we’ve helped more than 9,900 children. But we can’t stop there—because today, hundreds of children are still waiting for a CASA volunteer.

For over two years, our CASA Clubhouse has been open to children and their families navigating the foster care system. We are proud of the extensive partnerships we have made, such as, Convoy of Hope, MU Extension, and Springfield-Greene County Library. In addition, our community has kept our Kids Closet and Regulation Station stocked with basic needs, but with serving over 1,300 children in foster care in our 3-county service area, our work continues and your support can create sustainability for our mission. Your support works to maintain a safe space where healing and hope can be seen despite navigating a difficult chapter in someone's story.

How You Can Help

In 2025, you can make a difference for children in foster care. Your donation will directly impact a child’s life.

$35 covers the background check fees for a new CASA volunteer, ensuring we have a qualified advocate ready to stand beside a child in need.
$50 provides the funding for a child’s birthday party.
$100 provides a comfort kit filled with essential items to the children we serve.
$350 covers the cost of a teen life-skills course, preparing older youth for independence as they transition out of foster care.
$500 funds six months of advocacy for a child.
