The Womxn Project is hosting its very 1st (!) annual art sale and exhibition opening on February 9, 2024, at our offices at 189 Broadway in Providence. We've engaged 16 local art professionals to curate this event by asking their national network of artists, known and not-yet-known, to anonymously submit pieces of work on the theme “Advocacy Is Love, a Creative Postcard Exhibition and Fundraiser.”

We’re so excited that those curators brought in over 400 pieces of original artwork by artists around the world that will ALL be sold to support our 2024 programming. Each piece, no matter the artist, will cost $35, which makes original art accessible to many in our community. We are asking a few select supporters to give us a big boost by sponsoring our event. Again, this is our only fundraising event in the year.

Money raised from this fundraiser will go toward activities surrounding:

Actions and grassroots organizing to support trans equality by standing up to town hate attacks at School Boards up to the State Legislature
Installing emergency contraception (Ex. Plan B) vending machines on college campuses and private/public spaces
Working toward expanding voting access in Rhode Island by Same Day Voting Registration
Educating people on the right for young people to have access to reproductive care
Holding a monthly meetup series designed to help people get creative and prioritize self-care in the next year
