Our Founding Purpose

The African Future Pledge was established in response to the enduring effects of the Transatlantic Slave Trade, centuries of legalized discrimination, and their continuing impact on African American communities present day.

AFP was founded to help advance the long-term progress of African Americans by investing in land ownership, education, leadership, workforce excellence, economic opportunity, and community development.

We believe that building stronger futures begins by preparing people with the knowledge, practical skills, confidence, and leadership needed to succeed and to help others succeed.

While our founding mission is centered on advancing African American communities, we welcome individuals who respect that mission and who are committed to learning, personal growth, professional excellence, and service.

The AFP Power Skills Academy is our signature weekly live training experience where members develop essential, current and practical workplace and leadership skills through guided instruction, coaching, and live role-play. The Academy delivers practical, real-world training designed to prepare members for success in careers, business, leadership, and everyday life.

Through live instruction, hands-on practice, and guided role-play, members don’t just learn—they build real confidence and job-ready skills they can use immediately.

Training is designed for today’s world, including practical AI capabilities that employers, entrepreneurs, and community leaders now expect.

$19 Per Month

For a limited time, you can become an AFP Founding Member at our introductory membership rate.

Founding Members are helping establish the educational foundation of the African Future Pledge and will be recognized for supporting the organization during its formative years.

Future memberships will transition to the AFP Member Pledge of approximately $1 per day, reflecting our belief that small, consistent contributions can help build lasting opportunities for future generations.
