At the Ajilla Foundation, our mission is to empower women and girls of color through leadership, innovation and technology. We prioritize programs and initiatives for elementary through college students so that we can plant the seeds of education, awareness and exposure to the variety of opportunities they will have in the future. Our programs have reached and served more than 300 students and women throughout the United States.

Our current focus is on providing solutions that close the gaps between women and men (the confidence gap, the opportunity gap, the gender gap, and the pay gap) in order to give future generations a competitive edge to be successful change agents.

One of the ways we are preparing future leaders is through the Young Leaders Development Fellowship. Through this experience, fellows are exposed to various activities to help them elevate critical thinking skills, foster leadership, and build a sense of community. Geared towards college students from historically underrepresented communities, the program consists of hard and soft skill building to help them excel in the workplace. Select sessions include: financial literacy, effective communication, leading with strengths, personal branding, and more. Since 2021, our Fellowship has served over 100 young women of color from universities across the United States.
