Ben is seeking $10,000 for equipment and staff. He need to hire someone for the office and more workers. His equipment needs include a hot water pressure washer and hose reels, along with vehicle maintenance and land to build storage space for it all.

Nā Hulu helps local businesses overcome traditional funding challenges by providing community-backed financing. Funds raised are directed to ChangeMakers Hawaiʻi’s Native CDFI and matched by 50%, and offered as low-interest, revolving loans. Businesses can use, repay, and reuse these funds over three years, after which time the money becomes part of a “forever fund”. This long-term, self-sustaining fund provides flexible financing for future small businesses.
