🎶 The Return of the Alborz Living Room with a new DJ booth

DJ Booth Concept

We’ve teamed up with artist Sam Huckstep to bring a whole new vision to life for this year’s DJ booth. It’s a full upgrade that brings together light, form, and presence in a way that feels both grounded and elevated.

Built with custom CNC wood cutouts and layered LED lighting, the booth will feature a sacred geometry medallion at its center. The design draws from Persian symbols and mandala patterns, creating something that feels meaningful and timeless.

During the day, it stands as a detailed sculptural piece. At night, it lights up and becomes a glowing focal point. The booth will be larger, more inviting, and crafted to feel like a natural part of the space. It’s not just where the music plays. It’s part of the experience.

Sam will be with us at the burn this year, building and shaping it on site. His partner Jules will be joining as well for their first burn, which makes this whole thing feel even more special. We’re really looking forward to it.

Material: Light baltic birch plywood with oak detail

LED Color Schemes and Sections

The design and LEDs will be symmetrical, so each color and number will display the same settings at the same time. There will be a total of 11 sections, each of which can be turned on and off independently. Each section will not be limited to a single color. For example, the top of a section can be one color while the bottom is another. Making the entire top area one color and the bottom another could be a strong way to emphasize the mountain. Alternatively, keeping the top dim and the central part very bright could highlight the eye.

This is an early mock-up created in SketchUp to help us start visualizing the shape, proportions, and overall feel of the new booth. It’s a preliminary concept and will continue to evolve, but it offers a strong sense of the direction we’re heading in.

For reference, the next image shows the previous version of the Living Room. In case you need a refresher, this was the setup we’ve been building on. It’s been the heart of so many good memories, and now we’re getting ready to take it to the next level.
