These systems are typically used for multifamily housing, mixed-use, and commercial buildings so single-family housing will not be discussed in this session. Mike has been with Mitsubishi Electric Trane since February 2019 and is responsible for all things related to Mitsubishi Electric Trane in Michigan. Mike originally worked for Trane for 3 years as an Application Engineer. In between his time working at Trane and working for Mitsubishi Electric Trane he worked in the automotive industry for 4 years as a Product Engineer working on glass and cable components. Mike is excited to share his knowledge of Mitsubishi Electric Trane products and VRF technology to help others understand and utilize the full benefits of VRF systems Matt Rash is Mitsubishi Electric Trane Sr. Mechanical Applications Engineer. Matt has been with Mitsubishi & Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC since April of 2010. Matt comes originally from a consulting background in the architectural and engineering community where he worked for 8 years as a mechanical Engineer responsible for designing HVAC systems for commercial, healthcare and institutional facilities. For 2.5 years prior to arriving at Mitsubishi, Matt worked for Trane in the turnkey contracting group with experience in auditing facilities, then quantifying and designing energy improvement measures. He has extensive background over the past 10 years with commercial VRF system design and application support including development of detailed pre-sale application guides & tools, conducting pre-sale application training, and in depth field / post sale support of the Mitsubishi & Mitsubishi Trane VRF product line. With his extensive application background in commercial VRF systems, Matt is very excited about applying this experience to help others utilize the full benefits of the growing variable refrigerant flow technology.
