A few days ago, we were told about a heartbreaking situation — 15 tiny, 6-week-old Chihuahua puppies, scared and confused, dumped at the Twentynine Palms City Shelter. They were too young, susceptible to sicknesses, and in need of help. With overcrowding at the shelter and limited options, we knew we had to act fast.

We stepped in and brought 8 pups into our care. Another rescue group was able to take 5, and thankfully, the rest will be adopted out locally. But our work is just beginning.

These babies came with nothing — no food, no beds, no medical care. We've already spent $180 per pup on basic supplies just to make sure the fosters are set up. That doesn’t include the cost of vet checkups, puppy vaccines, deworming, and eventually, spay and neuter surgeries in a few months. The financial need is growing fast, and we can’t do it alone.
