More Than a Meet. A Movement.

Diversity In Aquatics is proud to partner with Howard University Aquatics for Battle at the Burr Weekend — a celebration of excellence, culture, community, and the future of aquatics.

Howard University carries a powerful legacy in the water. While more than 20 HBCUs once sponsored collegiate aquatic programs, today Howard University is home to the nation’s only NCAA Division I HBCU swimming and diving program. This weekend celebrates that legacy while helping build what comes next.

Throughout Battle at the Burr Weekend, we’re bringing together Olympians, collegiate athletes, alumni, families, aquatic professionals, community organizations, and water safety advocates for experiences that extend far beyond competition.

From water polo and the Howard Swim & Dive championship celebration to Battle at the Burr, The Deep End, our Community Water Safety Festival, and the After the Battle fundraiser, you can participate, celebrate, volunteer, and give back in many ways.

💙 Your participation helps support Howard University Swim & Dive and initiatives that expand water safety, aquatic access, education, and opportunities for the next generation.
