Beyond the Dream: Black Business & Economic Justice is a ticketed community gathering hosted by Black Business Enterprises (BBE) featuring a panel conversation and keynote, with a light meal/heavy snacks included.

Dr. King’s legacy is often remembered as a dream, but his work was also a blueprint for economic justice—dignity, labor, ownership, and real access to opportunity. This event invites entrepreneurs, educators, nonprofit leaders, and community members to come together for an honest conversation about what economic justice looks like today, and what it requires of us.

BBE exists because Black business owners need more than motivation. They need infrastructure: coaching, credit and financial support, capital readiness, trusted resources, and a place to gather and build. While corporate commitments have shifted and household budgets are tight, the need for consistent support has only grown.

This event helps sustain BBE’s year-round operating capacity so we can keep showing up—through programming, resources, and space that support economic safety, stability, and mobility for the people who rely on it.

Tickets are donation-based with suggested minimums, and Pro members receive complimentary admission (the Black Business Ball is the exception). If you’re able, consider selecting a supporter ticket or adding an extra contribution to help expand access for others.
