One block. One afternoon. The whole East Side.

On Tuesday, August 4, Black Business Network closes down York Avenue at Payne and throws the East Side's biggest National Night Out — our 3rd annual. Free food off the grill, live music, a kids zone with bounce houses and face painting, raffles, and 30+ local vendors — most of them Black-owned, East Side businesses getting in front of their own community.

Last year, 656 neighbors showed up and made us one of the top 3 largest National Night Out events on the East Side. This year we're going for #1 — 1,000+ neighbors — and doubling our community partners from 42 to 84.

This isn't just a party. It's an economic engine. After one afternoon at NNO 2025, vendor Transportation for Kidz saw an 85% jump in inquiries and roughly 50% sales growth. That's what visibility does — and your donation buys it for 30 more local businesses.

Where your dollar goes: $25 keeps the hydration station stocked with free cold drinks. $50 covers free plates off the grill for a dozen families. $100 powers the kids zone — bounce houses, games, face paint. $250 puts a local business in front of 1,000 neighbors with full sponsor recognition.

Black Business Network is a Saint Paul community nonprofit uniting and empowering Black-owned businesses, entrepreneurs, and professionals. Every dollar raised here goes directly into making August 4 free and open to everyone.

Can't give? Come through anyway — it's free. 901 Payne Ave, 2–6PM. Bring the kids, bring your appetite, bring the block.
