Rising Hope is inviting you to join us for our 30th anniversary celebration on October 4th, 2025.

Rising Hope has been delivering exceptional post-secondary education to people incarcerated in New York State since 1995. Since then, over 1300 men graduated from the program, and over 75 of them went on to earn a Master's degree at Sing Sing before coming home. Many lives have been transformed, many futures set in new directions. Our work continues even as we find ourselves at a critical point in our history with new challenges and new opportunities,

Our 30th anniversary finds us crossing this bridge to the future. We are gathering to honor all those who have been part of our journey - our alumni, the many dedicated volunteers, and our donors who continue to make our work possible - and to inaugurate the next stage of hope and inspiration for many.

This will be a special event, one that is unique in our history.

We are honored that Union Theological Seminary is allowing us to host this gathering at their James Memorial Chapel. It is a storied place, rich in legacy and history, a spiritual center of Columbia and our city.

Our event will be fully catered by Riverside Catering, based in the historic Riverside Church. We will have inspiring musical accompaniment by performers well known to many of you.

We will be joined by members of Rev. Bill Webber's family and many other special guests including several of our own alumni who were in the amazing and award-winning Sing Sing movie.

We will be presenting awards to notable members of our community, alumni, volunteers and donors.
