On a recent vegetation fire off the freeway, Fire Engineer Bart Kennedy was struck by a passing vehicle while performing his duties. Bart was pinned between the fire engine and the vehicle, sustaining multiple fractures in his pelvis. He was quickly transported for emergency care and now faces a long and difficult road to recovery.

Bart has served the City of Riverside Fire Department for over 30 years and was planning to retire at the end of this year. Instead of celebrating his well-earned retirement, he and his family are now focused on his healing and rehabilitation.

🙏 How You Can Help

We’re asking our extended fire family, friends, and community members to support Bart and his loved ones during this challenging time. Your donation will help cover:

Unexpected medical and travel expenses
Lodging and transportation for family
Any long-term needs that arise as Bart navigates the healing process

This campaign is organized by fellow firefighters and friends who are committed to standing by Bart the way he has stood by all of us—with courage, professionalism, and an unwavering sense of duty.

Every donation, large or small, makes a difference. Let’s help ease the burden for Bart and his family as they face this uphill battle.

📣 Please share this campaign to help us reach more people and show Bart how strong the firefighter brotherhood and community truly is.
