Brave Like McKenna was created in honor of McKenna Royer, a courageous 11-year-old whose love for others continues to inspire everything we do. Shortly after McKenna passed away from DMG in 2024, her parents founded Brave Like McKenna... determined to make sure no family walking this devastating journey would ever feel alone.

Today, Brave Like McKenna exists to support families of children fighting pediatric cancer with compassion, practical help, and hope.

We provide:

💛 Financial assistance for for essential bills including mortgage and rent payments, utilities, car payments,and other critical household needs
💛 Brave Bags filled with comfort items for children in treatment and their parents and siblings
💛 Advocacy at the federal level for better research funding and patient support

McKenna lived her life spreading love, joy, and courage. Through this foundation, her light continues to shine beautifully and reaching families in hospital rooms and homes where uncertainty often feels heavier than hope.
