The LASA High School football team needs your support!

Starting at its inception, LASA students shared a campus and participated with LBJ High School students in all extracurricular activities. Seven years ago, LASA split with LBJ and moved to a different campus – the old Johnston High School campus that first opened in 1960. This meant that the LASA sports programs were re-starting (mostly from scratch) which is a big challenge, especially as Austin ISD faces one of the largest budget crises in its history, having just approved roughly $205 million in cuts for the 2026-27 school year. While LASA is primarily known for its high academic rigor and is consistently ranked as one of the top High Schools in Texas (#5 in 2026) and in the nation (#43 in 2026), participating in team sports like football help teach so many life lessons that students can't learn in the classroom alone.

Even in the program's 7th season, the team still lacks some of the most basic equipment and gear. The players, the coaches, the football managers, and the training staff are ALL IN for this 2026 Raptor Football season but they could use your help. We believe that sportsmanship doesn't stop at the edge of the field. By supporting our student-athletes, you not only become a team supporter but also a team member.

Your contribution allows the team to buy better equipment, replace worn-out gear, and provide pregame meals for the team, and gives the team increased opportunities to build a culture that influences the whole LASA community – game nights at the stadium include so many LASA students such as our fantastic Raptor Band, the incredible LASA Cheer and our wonderful Dynasty and Velocity Dance teams.
