Marillac St. Vincent Family Services (MSV) has been dedicated to the well-being of Chicagoans for over 100 years. MSV is a community-based organization providing intergenerational and intersectional services to improve individual and family access to necessary provisions to promote stability and upward mobility. We are here to help people progress from surviving to thriving in their community.

The Daughters of Charity (Daughters) founded the Marillac Social Center and St. Vincent de Paul Center in 1914 and 1915, respectively. The core values of the Daughters, along with their unique approach to

serving people in under-resourced communities, inform the vision and mission of our community. We use holistic strategies to increase economic mobility to help people thrive and to support mind, body, and spirit. We see the dignity and power of human potential in every person we serve, from infants to adults and from teens to seniors. MSV takes a preventative and proactive approach to ensure child, youth, family, and individual well-being.

Through our three centers, MSV serves participants from over 20 zip codes across Chicago including residents from East and West Garfield Park, Austin, North Lawndale, and the Near Westside of Chicago. In addition to five core focus areas we also operate two food pantries and a thrift store. MSV is nearly 200 employees strong and relies on a dedicated volunteer corps who provide support across the organization.
