Box of Hope: Weekend Food Backpacks

Every weekend, children in our community go home to empty cupboards. Without consistent nourishment, students struggle to focus, learn, and succeed in school. Box of Hope: Nourishment for Learning is changing that one backpack at a time.

GIVING TUESDAY: Today we are focusing on expanding the Box of Hope Nourishment for Learning Weekend Backpack Program. Every recurring monthly gift helps feed kids every weekend throughout the school year.

OUR Giving Tuesday Goal: New monthly support for 10 kids.

Through this initiative, we provide nutritious weekend meal kits to students facing food insecurity in North Tonawanda. Each meal kit is carefully curated to offer healthy, easy-to-prepare foods that sustain children through the weekend so they return to school ready to learn, grow, and thrive.

$15 = One weekend backpack for a student
$60 = Nourishment for a student for a full month
$150 = Feeds 10 students for a weekend ("One School's Worth")
$600 = Supports one school building for one month
$6,000 = Supports one whole school for the entire program year
