How the Boo Bash Began: A New Sunrise Tradition at Thomasson Family Farm

Every great tradition has a beginning, and for Sunrise Elementary School, this year the Boo Bash is ours.

In the spring of 2025, the PTO at Sunrise Elementary began dreaming up a new way to bring families together, raise funds for school programs, and celebrate the season with a bit of spooky fun. We wanted something that felt festive, kid-friendly, and most of all—full of community spirit.

That’s when the idea of the Boo Bash was born.

With the support of Thomasson Family Farm—one of the most beloved fall destinations in our area—we had the perfect venue to host our first-ever Boo Bash. The farm's wide-open spaces, festive atmosphere, and generous staff made it the ideal place to bring our vision to life.

With hope our inaugural Boo Bash becomes a magical mix of dancing, barn slides, a corn maze, yard games, and laughter. We are looking forward to seeing families from all over the Enumclaw community come out to enjoy an evening of fall fun while supporting a school we love.

This event isn’t just about raising funds (though it certainly helps our students!). It is about connection—between families, teachers, students, and local partners like Thomasson Family Farm. Together, we want to create something truly special.

As we look ahead, we hope to grow the Boo Bash into an annual tradition that our students look forward to year after year. We’re so grateful to everyone who is volunteering, will donate, and show up to make our very first Boo Bash a huge success.
