Bridge Beyond is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Our organization partners with college communities, specifically student volunteers, to help advocate, assist, and advance the efforts towards helping people who experience homelessness and housing instability.

Bridge Beyond recognizes that there are a number of other organizations that have been working extensively and have spent years establishing relationships with members of the community. Rather than producing parallel efforts with these pre-existing organizations, we are working towards utilizing the college student community to help fill in the gaps in efforts towards helping people who are experiencing homelessness.

Bridge Beyond: A Year in Review 2021

What your money will go to!

Resource Bags are backpacks that contain essentials such as toiletries, socks, a Nalgene water bottle, etc. They have been distributed to local organizations focused on housing instability initiatives and directly given to those in our community experiencing homelessness. The items in our resource bags change based on the weather and as we receive more feedback from our community.
Bridge Beyond PGH is a club organization at the University of Pittsburgh. Bridge Beyond is focused on utilizing eager college students to help address gaps that community organizations face. Some of Bridge Beyond PGH's projects include community partnerships, resource bag construction, and plastic yarn making for durable mats to lay on.
Bridge Beyond National Board includes community advocates and our app development team. Our app development team is in the process of creating a living, working directory of resources that is accessible through a smartphone application.
General non-profit organization upkeep includes federal and state filing fees, website renewal, and office expenses.
Future expansion and projects! Bridge Beyond's home base has been in Pittsburgh, but we are looking to expand to other college communities. We are also looking to pursue higher impact projects. We want to be able to address homelessness on both the immediate and systematic levels.

EVERYONE involved in Bridge Beyond is a VOLUNTEER. This means that no one is getting paid. 100% of your money will be directed right into helping people experiencing homelessness and housing instability.
