Baltimore Corps recruits, trains, and empowers local Black, Indigenous, and People of color (BIPOC) talent to become influential decision-makers who can lead change in Baltimore's private and public sectors. We also provide funding and supportive resources to social entrepreneurs with innovative ideas and projects for strengthening the civic infrastructure of our brilliant city.

Donations to Baltimore Corps are fully tax-deductible and allow us to solidify our model so that it can be replicated and scaled for other municipalities who wish to opportunize their human capital and enjoy more robust public sector and business environments.

At Baltimore Corps, the work we do is animated by an abiding concern for racial equality and guided by four foundational pillars:

Activating Emerging Talent:
- Baltimore Corps recruits, develops and trains emerging talent and creates pathways to successful careers for Baltimoreans. Our Community Health Pathways Program exemplifies our work and its impacts: In the aftermath of the pandemic, Baltimore Corps advanced creative approaches to addressing the local workforce and public health crisis that overwhelmed our city. The work we do consists of supporting businesses through their talent challenges and in prioritizing recruitment of local BIPOC talent. Among the results are activated careers and increased capacity for businesses and public sector employers.
Advancing Careers in Leadership:
- Baltimore Corps's Emerging Leaders Fellowship Program tracks provide a transformative one-year experience to BIPOC professionals passionate about civic service and committed to impactful career trajectories. In 2025, Baltimore Corps HBCU Fellowship track will recruit 20 credentialed graduates from local HBCU's Coppin State and Morgan State Universities for diverse careers in city government. City agencies will benefit from the process of developing and retaining a diverse and skilled homegrown workforce.
Investing in Local Social Entrepreneurs:
- Baltimore Corps cultivates opportunities for investments of impact to social entrepreneurs and innovators of color so that they may access the capital needed to launch their businesses. Our Elevation Awards provide $10,000 grants and personalized support to awardees who create novel approaches to strengthening Baltimore's communities.
Reimagining Sector Effectiveness:
- Baltimore Corps addresses critical challenges through partnerships with and between businesses, government agencies, and non-profit organizations. Our Civic Innovators program provides collaborative, cost-effective solutions to challenges faced by specific city agencies, partnering them with pro bono business volunteers who have technical know-how applicable to strategic or infrastructure projects.
