Legal and Administrative Costs:
- Non-profit Registration and Legal Fees: Costs associated with registering as a non-profit organization, legal advice, and compliance. Estimate: $2,500
Operational Expenses:
- Technology and Software: Website hosting, email marketing tools, project management software, and virtual meeting platforms. Estimate: $1100
- Staffing: Initially, this will include engaging two part-time contract roles for organizational development, administrative support, event coordination, and marketing. Three months' part-time pay for two individuals. Estimate: $28,800
Event Support and Expansion:
- Event Planning and Logistics:
  - Support for local organizers to host Be-In events, including funding for venues, permits, and event insurance. Estimate: $1,000 per event, an average of 2 events per month, times six months = $12,000
  - Training and Resources: Development of materials and training programs for event organizers = $0, included in staffers' pay
  - Marketing and Promotion: Funds to market Be-In events and the Collective's mission through social media, online advertising, and community outreach. Estimate: $2,500 per event, an average of 2 events per month, times six months = $30,000
- Community Building and Engagement:
  - Outreach Programs: Initiatives to engage communities and encourage participation in Be-In events and activities. Estimate: $500 per event, an average of 2 events per month, times six months = $6,000
Fundraising and Development:
- Costs associated with hosting fundraising events, grant writing, and donor management software.
  Estimate: $6,000
Total Estimate: To launch and operate the Be-In Collective for the first year, based on the idea that we would average 2 events per month we estimate it will cost $86,400
- We are hoping that grants will cover $45,000 or so.
