Summerland’s Miss B Takes On Landlords Chris and Dori Carter

Three tenants. One building. The same landlords. Miss B alleges fraud.

One dollar. One million voices. Pass it on.

Thank you for being here. I came to Summerland to open my third nursery school, after founding two in London. Here is my story in brief.

In March 2025 I leased 2500 Lillie Avenue, Summerland, with child daycare as the agreed use.
I allege that the owners, Chris and Dori Carter, and their company GreenOrange Lillie LLC, blocked the permits a children’s club needs, and committed fraud.
Under the owners’ management, I invested over $650,000 in improving their property.
On March 4, 2026, they served me a notice to quit. I allege they refused to do the works required by law.
On April 1, 2026, they took legal action against Miss B’s and me, now claiming $683,015.
On April 29, 2026, I filed my cross complaint for fraud.
On September 1, 2026, the tenant before me, Home Crush, filed its own lawsuit against them, also alleging fraud.

And here we are today. That is why #BEEUnited was born: one dollar from one million people to carry Miss B’s to its day in court and support other small business owners.

This is the children’s building. A child’s future depends on what we do today.
