For 57 years and counting, the organization known as Autism Society of America, and its nationwide network of affiliates, has been connecting people in the Autism & Disability communities to the resources they need. Support from organizations and individuals across the state through donations and volunteering are what help make this goal a reality.

The AS.PIE Cooperative is a revolutionary program founded on a For Youth / By Youth social enterprise.

We support our community by making “Products with a Purpose” to fight isolation and loneliness in our ASD community.

In this program, isolated ASD teens and adults receive peer support while practicing skills needed to be successful out in the community. Young adult mentors partnered with adult professionals use an adapted relaxed curriculum to teach life, social, business and baking skills to individuals with learning disabilities. Sale of the items will make this program self-sustainable and program participants will feel the joy of contributing to community causes.

During the BETTER BAKE FEST all the tasty treats produced by the participants in this program can be purchased and each dollar goes back into programing.

We are currently fundraising to expand this program to include a dedicated baking kitchen.
