Breaking the Chains Foundation is committed to the prevention of body-focused and mental well-being stigmas. Our mission is to use the power of art and expression to foster creativity, build connections, and create a community in which individuals can thrive.

Created by cancer survivor and BTCF Chief Growth & Programs Officer Amy Hart, Big C New Me is a program serving cancer survivors and caregivers.

We help women, men and teens deal with the challenges of living with and overcoming cancer and the side effects of treatment by providing confidence-building, educational and support resources.

The Big C New Me® Power Crew is a free, one-day experience created to help cancer survivors and caregivers feel seen, celebrated, and supported.

Participants receive:
- Professional makeup application and instruction
- Hair styling or wig support
- Professional portraits to keep and share
- Shared meal and supportive community experience

Power Crew is made possible through the generosity of community partners, including salons, retail stores, photographers, beauty professionals, healthcare organizations, volunteers, and local businesses. Together, they help BTCF provide these services at no cost to cancer survivors and caregivers.
