We are requesting mutual aid. Black August mutual aid goes 100% directly towards people inside that need commissary, law books and phone time. This mutual aid will be distributed through the Jailhouse Lawyers Speak national network.

As we navigate the dark corridors of oppression, our struggle for liberation demands collective action. Jailhouse Lawyers Speak is sounding the alarm for a Black August fundraising mobilization, rooted in the principles of mutual aid and solidarity. Your contributions will fuel our revolutionary work in the prisoners movement, covering essential costs such as:

- Empowering returning comrades with basic necessities at our JLS Housing Center

- Sustaining correspondence

- Buying legal books for the indigent

- Paying for collect and video calls of people behind the walls

- Basic expenses to cover outside organizers doing boots on the ground work for us

- Providing funds for indigent brothers and sisters that need to file litigation against the prisons and jails
