Black Connect is the only national, membership and chapter-based 501 (c)(3) organization focused solely on eliminating the racial wealth gap in America by increasing the number and success rate of Black-owned businesses. With an emphasis on American Descendants of Slavery (ADOS) and low and moderate income communities, Black Connect's holistic approach fosters the socioeconomic growth and economic independence of the Black community.

On May 30th & 31st, Black Connect celebrated its 5-year anniversary at our National WealthBuilding Conference in New York City. The past five years have been busy as we've worked tirelessly to establish the foundation of a greatly needed and widely respected organization and build an entrepreneurial ecosystem that resonates with all of our stakeholders. With nearly $250,000 in pro bono legal services and $50,000 in business grants already distributed to Black entrepreneurs and small business owners through Black Connect initiatives since 2019, we are continuously working to develop programs, partnerships, and local chapters to circumvent the inequities and barriers facing Black business owners. Over the past 5 years, Black Connect has provided access to funding, mentoring, financial planning, business-related legal assistance and a community of support for entrepreneurs and small business owners and advocated for equity and inclusion in spaces and opportunities that help our members gain customers and increase sales.

With limited funding, we’ve been fortunate to offer a robust menu of programs and services that connect Black entrepreneurs and small business owners to resources that help them avoid costly mistakes and build sustainable businesses and entrepreneurial communities including: pro bono legal services, small business clinics, pitch competitions, business mentoring and financial planning, all while establishing local Black Connect chapters in New York City, Atlanta, Tampa, and Tulsa.

We’re just getting started and we plan to accomplish even more with your support.
