StoryFor 32 years, Mama Yaa cared for the orphans in her community. She blessed the lives of countless children up until her untimely death in 2019. We hope to carry on Mama Yaa's important work through the construction of Mama Yaa's Home for Children in Kyekyewere, Ghana.
Mama Yaa's home will be managed by her daughter, Janet and son-in-law, Papa. Papa is our local director in Ghana, and many of the orphans they are now caring for have been attending Building Block's School - Porter International.
Mama Yaa's home will remain sustainable for years to come through the earnings of Janet's local bakery. Proceeds from the bakery will cover the home's expenses including, feeding and clothing the orphans.
You can help by donating to purchase building blocks for the walls of the home. $5 will purchase 5 building blocks. We hope to raise enough money to purchase at least 500 blocks so our local team can complete construction by the end of 2021. Thank you for your support!Follow us on Social Media to learn more!
