Boerne Blaze Mission: To provide special athletes a safe and supportive environment to enhance their physical and social skills through sports training and events; and to expand awareness within our local community.

Who We Serve: We serve individuals in Boerne and surrounding areas who have cognitive disabilities (Ages 6+). At present, we have over 85 athletes and 9 sports offered throughout the year.

We are completely run by volunteerism and financial donations.

About Special Olympics Texas

The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
