About GrownUp T1Ds
Welcome to GrownUp T1Ds, a nonprofit created to support, educate, and connect adults living with Type 1 diabetes. Born from a simple truth—that most resources focus on children and young adults—we’re building a space where older adults can find real-life understanding, practical guidance, and lasting friendships. Our founder, Kelly, who has lived with T1D for over four decades, saw the need firsthand after her sister’s diagnosis later in life and set out to create a welcoming community for people like us.

What We Do
We keep things warm, real, and fun. Through in-person meetups, social events, and advocacy, we provide a place to share experiences, swap insights, and learn from one another without judgment or jargon. Our network includes peers and professionals who understand life with T1D and believe that connection is as vital as insulin. Whether you’re newly diagnosed or decades in, GrownUp T1Ds is your space to learn, laugh, and belong.
