I’m Brady Cowden, a 17-year-old luge athlete from Collingswood, New Jersey and a member of the USA Luge Youth National Team (A Team).

I was named to the USA Luge development team in 2023 and promoted to my current team in 2024. Luge is a thrilling winter sport that combines speed and precision as you race down an icy track, where every millisecond counts. I love the feeling of sliding at speeds of 65 miles per hour and navigating the many curves. It feels like a roller coaster, but you can control the outcome! But luge has also taught me valuable lessons in my personal life, like resilience, discipline, and the importance of goal-setting.

As athletes at my level are primarily self-funded, I am raising money for the expenses associated with my training, such as coaching, equipment, housing, and travel to New York, Utah, and Europe.
