Brain Injury Support Group
Brain Injury Support Group at Anam Cara Stables
Brain injuries impact each person uniquely, yet many individuals living with a brain injury or Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) share common emotions—frustration, isolation, and the challenge of adjusting to a "new normal." Navigating life after a brain injury can be overwhelming, both for the individual and their loved ones. However, finding connection with others who truly understand can make a world of difference.
Stacey Garcelon, LMHCA, NCC, a TBI survivor herself, facilitates this group. We offer a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where individuals living with brain injuries can find support, understanding, and encouragement from others on similar journeys.
What to Expect:
- A safe and supportive environment to share experiences
- Meaningful discussions on TBI recovery, emotional processing, and adjusting to changes
- Opportunities to connect socially with others who understand life after brain injury
- Encouragement in working toward personal goals, whether it’s returning to work, school, or hobbies
- Time with horses to support emotional regulation, connection, and healing
Whether you’re looking for information, a place to process emotions, or simply a space to be yourself, this group is here to walk alongside you.
