March is a special month at Brave Like Me 💜

It is a time to celebrate Brayden, the Brave Kid who inspired this mission, and to help more children facing complex medical challenges experience courage, joy, connection, and hope.

Every birthday month means something. It makes us think about life, the people we love, and how one beautiful life can keep creating impact far beyond a single day.

That is what March is for us.

It’s our bravest month.

Brayden was full of heart, humor, curiosity, kindness, and bravery. He loved animals, sports, laughter, family, and making people smile. In so many ways, Brayden represents what we see in Brave Kids everywhere: courage in the middle of hard things, joy that refuses to disappear, and a light that keeps shining.

Today, that legacy lives on through Brave Kids across the country.

Through Brayden’s Books 📚, children receive stories that remind them they are strong, seen, and full of possibility.

Through Brave Friends 🎉, kids experience unforgettable adventures built around friendship, fun, and belonging.

Through Brave Pets 🐾, hospitalized children are reunited with the pets they miss and love most.

This March carries even more meaning.

On March 1, we packed 20,000 books for children and families across the country.

We also welcomed more than 100 Brave Kids, siblings, friends, and family members to our Brave Friends event with the Cyclones.

On March 9, we celebrate Brayden’s birthday 🎂

On March 10, we celebrate the release of Finnegan the Football 🏈, a story created to encourage every child who has ever felt different.

That is what Brave Month is all about.

Inaction creates fear, but action creates courage, so we act.

We act for the child facing another hard day.

We act for the parent trying to stay strong.

We act for the sibling, the friend, and the family walking through the unknown.

We act because love should move.

Our Brave Month goals are to raise $2,000 in new monthly giving through The Unbreakable Village and $9,000 total in March so we can bring more Belief, Hope and Love to Brave Kids so they feel Brave.
