We are so pleased and thankful that you are considering honoring Mrs. Ophelia Burroughs with a donation to the Clayton County Public Schools Foundation. Ophelia Burroughs spent 35 years serving the students of Clayton County, 23 of which she spent changing lives and positively impacting students as a dedicated English teacher at Jonesboro High School.

After retiring from serving students in the classroom, she continued her mission to improve the lives of our children by running for, and being elected to, the Clayton County School Board. In that position, she was part of the team that helped the Clayton County Public Schools district regain its accreditation that had been previously lost. Mrs. Burroughs’ dedication was truly extraordinary, and we hope you will continue her legacy by making a donation in her honor.
