Concerned Black American Citizens, Inc. proudly announces the launch of the Center for BLACK AMERICAN HERITAGE & RECORDS

This Center will bring together three integrated labs that form a complete heritage‑to‑prosperity pipeline: the Genealogy Lab, which helps families recover and verify their ancestral records; the Legal Aid Lab, which supports property rights, heirs’ property issues, and family stability; and the Financial Literacy Lab, which will equips households with the tools to safeguard and grow their wealth.

Together, these labs will form a comprehensive heritage‑to‑prosperity pipeline that strengthens our families by restoring history, enforcing rights, and stabilizing balance sheets. This historic launch marks a new era of community empowerment that honors our ancestors, defends what our families have built, and seeks to expand opportunity for generations to come.

Your contribution helps us cover move‑in costs, equipment, furnishings, AND deliver 5,000 hours of genealogy services and legal aid to Jim Crow Survivors and their Families. Grand Opening Celebration Summer 2026.

Genealogical Research & Verification Lab

Lineage documentation, archival recovery, Freedmen status verification, family reconstruction and reunification.

Legal Aid & Property Rights Lab

We focus on tenant rights, heir's property, family and child welfare rights, displacement defense, property protection.

Applied Financial Literacy Lab

We provide financial education workshops and coaching that empower individuals and families to build wealth, manage credit, budget effectively, protect and transfer assets, form businesses, procure contracts, form coalitions and plan for long-term stability.

Climate & Economic Justice Cohort

Through programs like our CEJ40 Cohort & BELDI Fellowship, we equip participants with technical assistance, fiscal sponsorship, workforce development, and leadership development opportunities.

Cultural Continuity & Community Reinvestment

We steward cultural assets, events, celebrations, observations, public and private funds, and community reinvestment dollars.
