We did it! We have a chiller on order for delivery in October -- and we need your help to keep the momentum going. Purchasing the chiller has wiped out our capital funds and will eat into the 25-26 operational funds unless we can fundraise between now and October. We would like to use the off-season to complete permitting for the permanent slab, but need your help!

Open air is beautiful, but unsustainable - less ice time and a high level of maintenance required. For the next phase of the Cape Community Arena initiative, we are fundraising to:

Purchase a chiller: owning versus renting reduces our chiller costs by 85% and makes the project more sustainable in the long term
Put down a concrete slab: this makes maintaining the ice rink in the winter easier and gives us the ability to install other types of flooring during spring, summer, and fall to support outdoor activities for the Cape community
Install a roof: leaving an open air feel but adding a roof means reliable skating time and a longer season
Build an amenities building: bathrooms, changing rooms, a concession area, and viewing - these amenities can be used year-round by the community while enjoying the Gull Crest Fields, Cape Elizabeth Land Trust trails, and the community gardens

Raise the Roof

Let's put a roof over the rink and add a building for changing, bathrooms & concessions
