Here are just some examples of Rotary's charitable recipients:

Rotary International: Eradicating polio worldwide and supporting the environment. Rotary has been working to eradicate polio for more than 35 years. Our goal of ridding the world of this disease is closer than ever.

Student of the Month: Students who exemplify the Rotary's values of leadership, service, and integrity are chosen by school faculty and awarded by the club.

Young RYLA: Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) is an intensive leadership experience organized by Rotary clubs and districts where you develop your skills as a leader while having fun and making connections. This year we sent 12 wonderful students to young RYLA with the help of donations and fundraising patrons like you :)

Back Packs for Recovery: The Cherry Creek Valley Rotary of Parker purchased over 100 backpacks and toiletries for the new patients at Valley Hope Treatment Center of Parker. The backpacks also contained soap, shaving supplies, shampoo & conditioner, nail clippers, socks, combs/brushes, lotion, ChapStick, Kleenex, and a note from the Cherry Creek Valley Rotary of Parker club. The staff has already told us this is making the new patients feel human again.

Tools for Techs: This program is dedicated to supporting entry-level journeymen, journeywomen, and apprentices in their professional development with tools to better their profession.

Rotary clubs are emobiments of the community and people that they serve and are held to a high standard.

In 1932, Rotarian Herbert J. Taylor created The Four-Way Test. The Four-Way Test is a nonpartisan and nonsectarian ethical guide for Rotarians to use for their personal and professional relationships. The test has been translated into more than 100 languages, and Rotarians recite it at club meetings:

Of the things we think, say or do

Is it the TRUTH?
Is it FAIR to all concerned?
Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

With these core values in mind the Cherry Creek Valley Rotary Club of Parker (The Parker Afternoon Rotary Club) hopes to server our community with long lasting projects and new fresh ideas.
