Chicago Furniture Bank provides free furniture to Chicagoans experiencing poverty. We gather furniture donations from individual donors, clean-outs, and through our partners. The gathered furniture comes into our warehouse, our staff ensures it’s in good condition, and then it is displayed in our showroom for clients to select.

CFB works with a network of over 550 community partners to connect with clients in need of basic furnishings. Clients work with their case managers to schedule a shopping appointment at CFB. On their appointment day, clients enter our showroom and select a complete furniture package. They get the essentials: a couch, beds, dressers, and a kitchen table, and round out their package with accessories and smaller furniture pieces.
