The Marshall Fire in Colorado has leveled more than 6000 acres, including 1000 homes. At least two people are still missing. This is a devastating end to an already difficuly year, and many families, including members of our telecom community, will need support in the months to come.

100% of funds raised will be distributed between two charities already doing great work in Boulder County.

Boulder County Community Foundation, in partnership with Government and nonprofit organizations, is working to marshal financial support on behalf of those most directly affected by the wildfire. As we have with recent disasters, and as Boulder County's trusted philanthropic partner for over 30 years, we will work with our partners to understand how philanthropic support can augment, expand, and meet the totality of people, and our community’s needs. Your support, as always, is greatly appreciated.

Sister Carmen Community Center, a non-religious 501(c)3 nonprofit, has provided critical assistance to residents of East Boulder County for over 40 years. As a Family Resource Center, we have implemented expanded services and enhanced programming based on the FRC model to empower our participants to become self-sufficient.

Our origins stem from Sister Carmen Ptacnik, a Catholic nun that was assigned by the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul in 1970 to assess the needs of the people in Lafayette, Colorado. We retained Sister Carmen’s name to commemorate her charitable interest in our community.
