Home is where the Art is!

For nearly a decade, CFT has operated inside churches with theatrical stages in their gymnasiums and storage rooms to house our equipment and extensive costume collection. We have been blessed to have spent the past three years at Wesley Memorial UMC and rent their entire basement as our studio. But life is ever-changing, and this past summer the congregation at Wesley had to make the difficult decision to sell their building. Something Rotten! Jr. is scheduled to be our last production on their wonderful stage.

We have been talking with leadership at churches around Chattanooga all summer, as well as looking into possible commercial spaces to call our new home. We have found that CFT has grown too large for most churches to accommodate our equipment storage or our training and rehearsal schedules to allow us to keep producing shows at this caliber. Through our research on commercial spaces for a studio, we have found the cost will be anywhere around $4,000-$5,000 a month.

We are looking to find new one-time and monthly donors that will pledge to help us raise the yearly funds needed to continue making great youth theater. Please consider donating to help us secure a new home.
