CHARM Rescue "Fresh Start" Giving Tuesday

Giving Tuesday is coming on December 2nd, and CHARM Rescue's Giving Tuesday theme is a "Fresh Start"! This season, we want to celebrate our community and raise funds to help give the animals in our care, from newborns to seniors, a fresh start---whether that's through medical care, training, foster care, transport to a new home, or a temporary shelter in a rehabilitated building where rescued animals can rest, recover, and find hope again.

Your donations support the faces above and more:

Medical
- Medical care can give animals a fresh start. It's one of the most challenging--and essential--parts of rescue. This year alone, your generosity has helped us treat everything from mange and parvo to broken legs. Without funds for veterinary care, rescue simply isn't possible. Because of donors like you, newborn orphan kittens like Piglet get a chance at survival and a life they might otherwise not have been able to lead.

Senior
- When they lose their home and land at a shelter, senior dogs are the most vulnerable since they have the highest rates of euthanasia. Because our donors make it possible, senior pups like Bear are not only surviving but thriving, with days filled with fresh air and nights curled up on a warm bed.
Transport
- Transport---it's more than just miles on the road---it's the bridge between despair and hope. Thanks to a community of volunteers and the generosity of people like you, we were able to transport Pearl and her newborn puppies from a crowded and loud shelter to a soft bed and a quiet place to raise her little ones.
Training
- Just moments before Edison was scheduled for euthanasia, an amazing foster stepped up for him. Fresh out of the stressful shelter, Edison found it hard to trust, and wasn't sure how to express himself. Thanks to our donors, our training team was able to work alongside multi-certified professionals, and Edison began learning how to see the world with fresh eyes. With his training, he's learned he can trust people, and now experiences the world around him with confidence and joy.
Building
- In addition to providing safe foster homes for the animals in our care, CHARM Rescue continues to (literally) rebuild. With the generosity of our community, the facility our founders used in 1952 is being transformed into a safe, welcoming space where animals can rest, recover, and find hope again.
Foster
- Fosters are where fresh starts begin. Our incredible fosters open their homes and hearts, which allow us to offer love, safety, and a second chance to animals in need. Donors like you make it possible for us to provide food, vet care, and supplies to our fosters.
