Tragically, the equivalent of 13 school buses full of children lose their lives to drowning every year. Hope Floats Foundation Inc. is a 501(c)3 registered nonprofit, operating throughout the United States to administer swim lesson scholarships in partnership with swim schools nationwide using a "local funds for local kids" model. We are proud of our partner swim schools for working with us to ensure that the high-quality swimming lessons they offer can be made accessible to children whose families would otherwise not be able to afford to participate. Drowning is a leading cause of childhood death, and participation in formal swimming lessons reduces the risk of drowning by 88%.
