Let's prove that coalitions can be formed, funds raised, and action taken; when those that are involved are flexible, determined, and willing.

We have heard from many of our grantee organizations, and other leaders in the community, that there has been an exponential increase in demand for personal hygiene products at pantries and distribution sites. Particularly menstrual hygiene products and diapers. In response to this growing and persistent need, it is our intention to start a Community Hygiene Product Fund.

This fund will use our agile grant application model to issue grants to nonprofits that are requesting funds for hygiene products in our five-county area. Any nonprofit organization, in good standing, in Broome, Chenango, Delaware, Otsego and Tioga counties will be able to apply to this fund for grants to purchase and distribute personal hygiene products to the community.

This crowd sourced funding campaign will run from today, March 4th, until Friday, March 15th. You can help by donating and/or sharing to increase visibility. I am very please to announce that we have an anonymous donor who has volunteered to MATCH the first $1,000 dollars donated.
